Germantown High School’s final graduation was a celebration, not a funeral

146th Graduation Ceremony of Germantown High School Class of 2013, New Covenant Church, Philadelphia, PA USA - June 19, 2013; These 120 graduates of the Class of 2013 are the last to receive a diploma from Germantown High School. The Germantown landmark will close its doors at the end of this school year as a result of the budget crisis in the Philadelphia public school district. Soon-to-be graduate Khayriyyah Marie Williams waits behind the scenes minutes before the ceremony starts.
