Professional road racing is returning to Philadelphia after a one-year hiatus. The UCI 1.1 Independence Classic is scheduled for June 3, 2018 in Philadelphia, PA, as officially announced in September 2017.

With a three-decade history of being named one of the major one-day race events in the USA, The former Philadelphia International Cycling Classic (A.K.A Manayunk Wall Bike Race) is held on a 12.3 miles long lap, partly urban, partly hilly roads, mostly in the NorthWest Section of Philadelphia, PA.
